Vietnam imported 11.3 million tons of steel last year, most of which was imported from China. In the 11th month of this year, we received the 9th order from an old Vietnamese customer this year, and completed the shipment on December 20.

Vietnam is located at the southeastern end of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia, surrounded by the sea on three sides and bordering Laos and Cambodia in the west. The good geographical location makes Vietnam very convenient for imports.

Since 2015, Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, the Philippines, etc. have begun to strengthen infrastructure construction, making steel the largest import demand. And while strengthening domestic demand, Vietnam has also begun to transport steel to neighboring countries through its good geographical location, thereby strengthening its self-development.

The customer's order this time is still high-carbon steel wire rod, which is rolled from high-quality carbon structural steel and is one of the most widely used varieties among wire varieties. It is mainly used for processing and manufacturing carbon spring steel wire, oil quenching and tempering carbon spring steel wire, prestressed steel wire, high-strength high-quality carbon structural steel wire, galvanized steel wire, galvanized stranded wire rope, etc.

In recent years, trade between China and Southeast Asia has grown rapidly. In fact, China was Vietnam’s largest importer last year, and metal products are a popular commodity for Vietnam to import from China.
